About WADL
Established in 1920, The Western Australian Debating League is Western Australia's leading debating and public speaking organisation. The Western Australian Debating League aspires to ensure all students have meaningful access to debating that encourages critical thinking, fosters engagement with global issues, and equips students with lifelong skills and the confidence to pursue their potential. WADL aims to do this by ensuring all WA school students have access to challenging debating competitions, high quality resources, and purpose-built development opportunities.
Our Mission
WADL seeks to provide tailored debating competitions and resources that empower students to feel, regardless of their postcode, that they can stand up for what they believe in.
Our Volunteers
The League is entirely run by our wonderful volunteers with the support of our Board, Executive and Committee members.
